Job description:
GlobalFoundries is conducting an interview for the post of Principal Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
This position involves the study and development of High Current Models of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Devices (FETs, Diodes and SCRs) that are used in Protection Circuits. The prospective candidate will have the holistic experience of examining how the fabrication process, device design, TCAD studies, measurements and PDK (Process Development Kit) model enablement come together to deliver the next generation technologies at GF.
- Interact with the Technology Development, Measurement Lab and Library (LVS, PEX) Teams to understand the flow right from the Process through Design, Hardware measurements and modeling aspects.
- Use modeling tools like Cadence and Simulators (Spectre and HSPICE) and Verilog-A for model parameter extraction and testing.
- Be proficient in coding with R (and/or Python) to process the hardware data and create scripts for model parameter extraction outside the design environment as and when needed.
- Employ inhouse Automation tools to examine model quality of each PDK deliverable.
- Address/debug customer issues that may arise from time to time.
- Explore innovative solutions to challenging problems at work and file patents as well as publish quality work in reputed peer reviewed journals and conferences.

Qualifications and experience required:
- Education Masters/Ph.D in Electronics, VLSI, Semiconductor Physics or related field.
- Years of Experience Freshers with suitable background may apply
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
