Job description:
STMicroelectronics is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of new STM32 products.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- The role involves overseeing Embedded SW development activities from specification to support to ensure the execution of STM32 products roadmap.
- Participate, influence, and contribute to IP specification phases with Architecture & Design teams.
- Follow the SW process to deploy STM32 drivers with expected quality criteria (MISRA, Code Sonar, etc.) from SW specification to SW validation.
- Elaborate the verification (FPGA) and validation (Silicon) plan and execution.
- Define and develop applicative examples based on low-level drivers to demonstrate and promote STM32 key features to customer end-users.
- Support the final deployment of solutions to the market and ensure associated customer support through tickets, forums, GitHub, etc.
Skills & experience required:
- Proficient in Embedded & Real-time Software Development using C/C++ and assembly languages, with debugging and profiling capabilities.
- Very good knowledge of ARM Cortex-M architecture, including cores, bus structures, caches, etc.
- Strong experience in low-level driver development.
- Competency in ARM Security, particularly Cortex-M33 and beyond, is advantageous.
- Appreciation for scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Typescript.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like git, gerrit, GitHub, and repo.
- Proficiency in classical development environments, including IDEs such as IAR, Keil, and Eclipse.
- Good understanding and usage of electronic testing tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency generators, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex concepts.
- Strong team spirit and ability to contribute cross-functionally.
