Applied Materials is conducting an interview for the post of Mechanical Engineer.
About the team:
Vacuum Platforms COE is a part of Common Solutions Group dealing with Design of Vacuum systems required to provide clean environment for Wafer handling. This team owns the design of sub-systems like Vacuum & Venting Design, Design of Vacuum Chambers like Load Locks and Transfer Chambers, Design of Slit Valves, Structural design of Frame weldments and packaging of controls of Vacuum Mainframe system.
Opportunity:
Will have opportunity to work on Product development of Next Gen platforms related to Semiconductor Processing equipment. Over a period of time the individual expected to get into the Role of Design Engineering Authority for one of the stabilized Vacuum Mainframes owned by Applied India Organization.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Design of Mechanical sub-systems like Precession Machined Aluminum Chamber bodies, Vacuum seals, Structural Frame weldments, selection of gages, Vacuum and Venting systems design and mechanical packaging of Electronics & Controls of Semiconductor processing equipment.
- Preform feasibility studies and testing of new and modified designs. Development of Test stands required for qualifying modules designed as part of new product development.
- Support to Manufacturing on Products transitioned to Volume Manufacturing.
Qualifications and other requirements:
Mechanical engineers who have worked in Machine Design OR Medical Equipment Domains are preferred. If someone has experience designing & Testing Vacuum systems or Similar Equipment, it would be helpful.
Educational Qualification: ME/ M.Tech with any Mechanical Engineering / Vacuum Technology related specialization.
Upto 1 year of experience required.
Additional Qualifications required:
- Requires strong skills in problem solving, Analytical skills, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness and project management.
- Application Knowledge of GD&T and Root cause analysis.
- Requires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function.
