Job description:
West Pharmaceutical Services is conducting an internship for Engineers.
The Intern, D&T, Support & Testing requires the basic knowledge to participate in design, build, test and deploy effective testing solutions. To fulfill this role, the Test automation architect applies appropriate automation technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the testing organization. This level role provides the opportunity for exposure to fundamental of software Automation testing principles and concepts.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- With guidance support and supervision, learn the overall Business vision, project objectives and project goals.
- Basic Understanding of Manual Testing, Functional and Regression Test Automation.
- Get involve in product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements.
- Assist to Test all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, Regression, and service.
- Work with Design and development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management.
- Help in setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
- With the help of Test Manager apply, design, and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
- Under supervision, learn and implement automation test framework.
- Assist in record test results, report, and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
- Coordinate with program and development management teams in product development lifecycle to confirm end user product and quality requirements along with development schedule.
- Assist to Analyze performance test requirements and develop test plans.
- With guidance handle performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.
- Answer technical issues to resolve and follow up.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in related fields like engineering, design, etc. from Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 0-6 months of related work experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Possesses exposure to or education in the following:
- An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
- Basic Understanding of Microfocus ALM Software (UFT) Testing Tools
- Basic awareness of software development life cycle and software development methodologies like Agile, Azure DevOps etc.
- Manage customer expectations regarding estimated response times for issue resolution.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical, Decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize sound judgment with an ability to operate with a sense of urgency.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description .
Competencies/authorities:
- SAP Testing, SAP Test Automation & Validation is plus.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is plus.
Physical and travel requirements:
- Up to 10-15% travel may be required.
- Occasional on-call work required.
- Prefer 12 pm – 9pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
