Microchip Technology is ASIC Design Engineers for their Bangalore office.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As a product development engineer in the Data Center Solutions group (DCS), you will work on developing our next generation Data Center Storage products, including enterprise class NVMe SSD controllers and other PCIe-based products. This will involve taking a design from initial concept to production form. Throughout you will be mentored and coached by experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip’s Best-In-Class engineering practices.
- Ramping up on storage-related technical knowledge/concepts: PCIe, NVMe, DDR, NAND Flash, DMA, encryption, and so on
- Studying through practice deep-sub micro digital design methodologies
- Working under guidance of the technical lead:
- Participating in micro-architecture and documentation
- Integrating IP modules, designing glue logic, interfacing with verification and emulation groups
- Designing custom digital IPs if necessary
- Performing development activities such as Synthesis, Formal Verification, Clock Domain
- Crossing (CDC) analysis, Static Timing Analysis, DFT, and low power design
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Newly graduated with bachelor’s degree
- Courses in digital design, computer architecture a must; Digital design projects using Verilog/System
- Verilog a must
- Proficient in Verilog/System Verilog
- Experiences with simulation and simulation tools a plus
- Basic design knowledge of standard cells, memory, and IO is an asset
- Good programming / scripting skills with languages such as TCL, C, and Perl
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
