Job description:
Eastman is conducting an interview for the post of IT Applications Support Analyst.
Job duties and requirements:
- Proficient use of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Good communication skills, quick Learning ability , interested working in support function.
- Strong interpersonal and appropriate professional, courteous, and respectful communication skills. Effective and proactive communication on issues, status, etc…
- Able to follow documented processes.
- Able to learn and use software used to manage and monitor corporate batch job processing environment. (e.g.UC4 software)
- Able to use analytical skills in diagnosing, resolving, and minimizing job processing problems.
- Able to monitor and perform first line troubleshooting support based on training and documentation provided.
- Able to work collaboratively with other Global IT resources to ensure proper handling of UC4 and SAP functions.
- Able to work a 12-hour shift schedule; be willing to work limited overtime as needed (vacation, sickness relief, etc (12 Hrs. shift per day. ( 4 days work , 4 days OFF ))
- Follow site and department safety requirements.
- Assume proper level of ownership of problems and opportunities and follow through to resolution
- Follow Company and Site Dependability Guidelines
- Candidate must be in Hyderabad . No WFH due to nature of the job.
Working conditions/Physical requirements:
- This job, currently requires to work a rotating 12-hr shift (12-hr days and 12-hr nights).
- The job provides around the clock coverage for monitoring and first line error troubleshooting support within SAP and utilizing the UC4 job processor and calendar scheduling functions.
Job Responsibilities and Technical Skills (Training would be provided):
- Support Global IT organization with the:
- Creation, scheduling, and processing of batch jobs
- Monthly and Annual Financial Closing process
- Follow documented processes for failed backups:
- Monitor restarted jobs for completion
- Restart jobs
- Work done on each shift is to be documented for review by the next shift and also for review by IT Supervision each morning.
- Communication and coordination with other groups:
- Establish and maintain communication on service disruptions and problems to address concerns, escalations, and resolutions.
- Work with support analyst to assist, identify and implement procedures and processes
- Make sure all check sheets are followed and spreadsheets are properly filled out
- Coordinate scheduling and performing preventative maintenance with others
Qualifications required:
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering
- Experience: Fresher
- Entry level job with little or no prior relevant work experience.
- Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks.
- Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy.
- Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.
