Job description:
Xilinx is conducting an interview for the post of IC Design Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze various tradeoffs in architecting Xilinx All programmable devices that meets market requirements:
- Examples: Implications to design, software, testability, manufacturability, performance, power, cost, yield
- Help architect and evaluate new features and feature enhancements in interconnect, clocking, configuration, logic and all other aspects of our FPGA and SOC architectures
- Circuit design and analysis on industry leading process nodes as required for architectural analysis, test chip design et al.
- Digital logic design (Verilog/VHDL) to capture architecture definition and managing benchmark designs
- Implement challenging designs in FPGA tool flow in help achieve timing closure, or estimate possible performance on new architectures, given intimate knowledge of the FPGA architecture
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics or equivalent
- CMOS custom circuit design/analysis and logic design on advanced process nodes HDL languages (Verilog/VHDL)
- Scripting languages (Tcl, Perl, Python)
- Familiarity with FPGA architectures and tool flow is a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills are essential
- Able/willing to work with teams globally
