Baker Hughes is hiring Quality Specialist for their Coimbatore Office.
Job duties and responsibilities:
In this role you be responsible to focus on performing tests (eg NDT) and defining controls (eg SPC), ensuring correct alignment with quality requirements. Also, ensuring that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards before they progress to next phase of production or customer delivery. (Verification/Checking). Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.
As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing QC set-up and support in tendering and execution phases of Engineering Procure Construct.
- Overseeing fulfillment of contractual and regulatory requirements to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Capture lessons learned to continually improve execution processes.
- Being able to detect and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
- Contributing to project as a team member. Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months
- Having ability to interpret drawings, technical specification & other design details required for instrument assembly, Testing, disassembly.
- Troubleshooting Valve Positioner Software and Hardware issues during calibration. Also, provide Technical Support to Optimize Valve calibration process
- Having ability to link Valve Calibration failure mode to Valve Accessory mechanical linkages, root cause analysis & drive corrective actions
- Having Knowledge on Wiring harness, Connectors & Terminals, Relays, Analog & HART Communication, I/P Converter, Pneumatics.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Have Bachelor’s from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 yrs. of experience in Quality).
- Be a good communicator and be fluent in English
- Be able to show good problem-solving skills along with interpersonal skills.
