Analog Devices is conducting an interview for the post of Staff Analog Layout Design Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team, working on the next generation of BMS chips.

We are uniquely placed as a design team situated in India where all functions of the BMS/wBMS system converge – system design & applications, IC Design & layout, software, test & characterization. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high performing chip design team that has entire end-to-end – analog/digital design, design verification, front end design and back end design capabilities within India, which includes owning chips from requirements to silicon to production.

The layout team is tightly integrated within the product development team and gets involved in the complete development life cycle starting with requirements, resource allocation, area, power and package estimation, floor-plan development, pad ring layout, IP layout design, integration, physical verification, Database Transfer, e-Job review and post-silicon support. You will work in a collaborative team environment and interface with other layout engineers and analog designers to learn the best layout design methodologies and put those learnings into practice for state-of-the-art BMS/wBMS systems.

Minimum qualification:

BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree and relevant experience in analog layout & chip layout

Positions available:

Data processing/converters/analog IP layout, Digital control IP layout, Power delivery and Monitoring IP layout, Physical verification/Integration.

Desired skill set:

  • The candidate should be well versed analog and mixed signal layout techniques and experience on Cadence Layout tools (Virtuoso) and Mentor Graphics verification systems (Calibre).
  • The candidate should have analog layout & physical verification experience in HV /precision analog process nodes or deep submicron process nodes (eg:40nm/28nm) – corresponding
  • knowledge of layout dependent effects is expected.
  • Experience in layout of various circuit types is desirable: more than one of Amplifiers/OPAMP circuits, ADCs/DACs, LDOs, Bandgaps & Bias Circuits, Temperature Sensor, Oscillators
  • Knowledge of relevant device physics, matching techniques, ESD/Latchup mitigation techniques, circuit parasitic extraction & reduction, VXL compliance etc. is expected
  • Experience in block floorplanning, subsystem & chip level layout and physical verification flows(LVS, DRC, Density, Extraction, EM) is expected.
  • Ability to closely and independently work with Analog Designers to solve performance and area challenges
  • Ability to program in SKILL/equivalent and script Calibre run-sets is desirable
  • Familiarity with automotive development processes is a plus.
